Our Story

These roads and those walls have always welcomed travellers.

Originally a modest rural village, Finhaut developed between 1860 and 1920 into a renowned resort, second only to Zermatt in the Valais. Connected by the stage coach route and since 1905 by the Mont-Blanc Express to the plain and Chamonix, the village had its period of glory in the Belle Epoque before falling back into anonymity.
Finhaut's 18 hotels and restaurants were then either closed down or converted into condominiums.
The village remains classified as a site of national importance (ISOS inventory) thanks to its unique location and its spatial and architectural qualities.

The only hotel still in operation, Les Alpes, was up for sale for 10 years but could not find a buyer. We now has the great opportunity to bring it back to life!

It's time to take the time.

How often do you tell yourself you need to get out of the city?
How often do you think about spending more time in nature?
When was the last time you explored untraveled paths and experienced absolute peace and quiet?
We dream of building a community of all backgrounds and ages, coming together at a time when slowing down is a luxury – and a necessity.
Together, we can make a difference in each other's lives and in the History of an authentic Swiss village.
